We’re back with Katlyn Paskorz for Part 2 of our interview!
Throughout Katie’s entrepreneurial journey, she inevitably faced multiple challenges. One of the first was mastering Javascript, a course she failed 7 times, but with perseverance eventually passed. Another was dealing with her first client on Upwork, who suddenly ended their contract before she finished the website, and rated her 2-stars. Being that Upwork promotes 5-star freelancers, this felt like a real setback.
Katie quickly learned that not everyone is going to like you or your work. All you can do is your best, and clients that align with your style will come!
Since these turbulent beginnings, Katie eventually began carving out her own success:
✨After her initial 2-star rating, Katie pressed on. In a few months, she became top-rated on Upwork.
✨ Receiving her first client through word of mouth meant her current clients were telling others how much they loved her work!
✨Katie took the time to count how many clients she’s helped to date, and realized she’s launched over 80 websites!

🚀 Recently started an all-service marketing agency—Katie + Kiana Marketing Studio—with one of her best friends, turned business partner, Kiana
🧘🏽Fun fact: As if being the owner of now multiple businesses isn’t enough, Katie also teaches Restorative Yoga throughout the week in Bellevue, PA.
