In his opinion, the modern approach of guiding young people into specializations early can inhibit a breadth of understanding and experience necessary to find what they might like and where they can make a valuable contribution.
Joe attributes his faith—believing in ‘someone bigger than him’, and support system as a source of strength to use his failures to propel him to the next leg of his journey.
