Corey considers his cancer diagnosis at 19 the “best thing that ever happened to me”.
It made him slow down, and appreciate the 24 hours we all have, but don’t always take full advantage of.
After years focusing on chemotherapy and eventually beating cancer, he was left saying “what’s next”. Falling back into old patterns and habits, he ended up in the hospital where he found art as a means of expressing himself.
On the advice of an art therapist, he did his first show. After seeing the potential profits, he decided to do another, but lost his joy for art when having to create for others. This brought on a few years where Corey avoided art. This quiet time creatively led to opportunities to learn more about business.
With an established knowledge in business, Corey found a key aspect missing to being a business owner — a product…
Re-enters his art.
Ultimately, this led him to merge his two worlds together becoming the entrepreneur he is today. After several successful art shows, he decided to stop working for someone else’s dream, and work for his.
